Hey, I'm Chris! I am a rising senior at Brown University double concentrating in Computer Science and Economics. I love the intersection of sound software engineering and ethical product design. I believe that technology empowers us to solve new problems at an unprecedented scale. I am driven to learn more innovative ways to challenge and fix society's inefficiencies.
Summer 2016 - PRESENT
Interning on the Compass team, a team devoted to building a new GUI for MongoDB to explore and visualize data collections. Building product features, business intelligence analytics dashboards, and open source node modules.
Spring 2016 - PRESENT
Learning about virtual reality in a 360˚ dome VR installation at Brown. The use of virtual reality to deliver and explore content really excites me; I'm hoping to do more with it!
Summer 2015
Learnt the ins and outs of advertising tech on social media platforms. Architected a campaign report tool to streamline month end report generation so analysts can focus their time on making decisions.
I think that an interdisciplinary mindset is important to approaching any problem so I try to learn about new topics and explore the latest fields. I have also found that sometimes keeping my mind off an immediate problem can lead to better solutions and bigger discoveries!
